Exhibition of old boats and coaches

The three Venjeboats belonging to Baroniet Rosendal are the grandest boats of their kind taken care of in Norway. The name derrives from the the small house at the stern. The boats was rowed with three, four or five pair of oares depending on the wealth and stature of the owner.

The shaping of the manor and teh garden has always been influenced by the owners impulses and impressions from travels abroad. In the rooms of the manor we find books and artefacts from far away liek Paris, Hamburg, Florence, Naples and Geneva. Receipts and pictures from these destinations are exhibited in the outbuilding together with carriages and venjeboats that the owners used.
